Coast Guard Coasting

Founded in 1876 and located in New London, the US Coast Guard Academy gets 2K applicants of which 300 cadets enroll and 250 graduate per year. Two notable alumni are Thomas H. Collins, class of 1968, who guided the Coast Guard after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and another Tom class of 1990.
