1st Nickel Bag Free

Albemarle Sound Loop folks trip over themselves with kindness and generosity. Picked up veggies and fruits at local farmers market at Plantation, NC.  As I went to pay, the vendor asked if I was a local (“no”). “Well then, as first timers your produce is free!”  “No way!” as I shoved a $20 at him and he refused.  That’s the tradition here.  I later returned with a bottle of CA wine.  “Since you gave your NC goodies to me, I’m giving you our California goodies.”  He said “How do you know I drink?”  and his friend responded “Like a fish!”  What comes around, goes around.
